Should You Force Yourself To Speak English?

Hi,

Do you worry about speaking English?
Do you feel nervous about speaking English sometimes?

Of course this is normal.  Many people ask me if they should force themselves to speak English when they feel nervous.
Many English teachers believe that they must force their students to speak.
Is this a good idea?  Should you force yourself to speak English?  Should a teacher force you?
